WireAmbi — car ambient lighting from the phone and Android Auto
An Android app that drives ELK-BLEDOM/MELK LED strips from the phone and from the Android Auto screen. It has a music mode with its own audio analysis pipeline, offline voice control and a car panel linked to the led-auto gateway.

WireMark — a secure markup language
Extended Markdown with security built into the core: a tokenizer, parser, sanitizer and HTML renderer in TypeScript with no external dependencies, a NestJS integration, a WYSIWYG editor and a demo page. Anything not on the allowlist does not get through.

WireDrive — a launcher for an Android head unit
My concept for a Golf IV car launcher: the visual design of 22 screens, from navigation and media to CAN bus readings and parking sensors, plus an app skeleton in Jetpack Compose.

Mostly, I build websites and apps.
I pick the tools to suit the project: WordPress when you’ll edit the content yourself, Astro or Next.js when the site should be light, Node.js when there’s a backend to build. Electronics comes up less often, usually when an app has to control hardware.

Sites you can edit yourself.
Company sites and WordPress shops with WooCommerce, or fast sites built with Astro, Gatsby and Next.js. I take care of SEO and make sure the content can be changed without a developer.

04About
I’ve been building websites for 18 years.
I started when websites were written by hand and uploaded over FTP. Then came PHP, WordPress and one generation of tools after another, up to today’s frontend and apps. These days I build sites on WordPress and in Astro or Next.js, plus Node.js and Android apps.
wirelab is me. I work alone, so you talk directly to the person who writes the code and looks after it afterwards. In my spare time I tinker with electronics, and some of that is in the portfolio too.

wirelab — WirePress (headless WordPress with Next.js), WireMark in TypeScript, and the WireAmbi app and WireDrive launcher for Android. On the electronics side, the led-auto gateway and a Pico 2 W board.

I never stop checking what’s next. New frameworks, tools, AI, architectures and experiments. Not for the hype — to see whether they can actually do something better.

05How I work
From brief to a live site.
Four steps, always in this order. Each one ends with something you can see and check.
01
Brief
A few sentences: what it should do, who it’s for and who will edit the content. I ask about budget and deadline, and what you already have: a domain, hosting, an old site.

Prototype
Mock-ups of the key screens or a first version on a test server. For electronics, a breadboard and the first firmware.

Build
Code, content, SEO and testing on phones and desktops. For a shop, WooCommerce set-up comes on top.

Handover
Going live, a short guide to editing and the source files. I stay in touch when something needs fixing.
